Heraldic information:
"Ancient and illustrious Ligurian family, of clear and proven nobility, originally from the Villa of Santa Giulia, near Lavagna, on the eastern Riviera, which has spread over the centuries in various regions of Italy. The origin of this cognomination, to say the least of illustrious genealogists, should be sought in a dialectal modification of the "Severus" staff, probably belonging to an, today unknown, progenitor. In any case, this family, which was ascribed, in 1528, to the Genoese nobility and aggregated to the Pallavicini hotel, in every age, always managed to stand out, thanks to the elevated characters, to which it gave birth. Among these, without taking anything away from the value of the omitted, we remember: Francis of the Council of the Elderly in 1487; Andrea, Domenico and Bartolomeo intervened in the oath of allegiance to Giovan-Galeazzo, Duke of Milan; Andrea, Domenico and Antonio who made the Ghibelline faction in ..."
